Your Responsibilities as a WIOA Participant:

  • Make and keep appointments with your Case Manager
  • Provide all necessary paperwork to your Case Manager
  • Attend classes as scheduled and maintain a GPA of at least 2.0 (C average)
  • Provide WIB-KC with your grades and timesheets
  • Maintain communication with your Case Manager
  • Once you receive WIOA funding, WIB-KC Staff, Case Managers, and/or Training Providers will track your employment status for a minimum of ONE YEAR after completion of training

Case Manager Responsibilities:

  • Determine eligibility for WIOA programs
  • Provide and discuss training options
  • Assist with employment/labor market information
  • Issue your ITA (Individual Training Account) voucher for training

Training Provider Responsibilities:

  • Assist you with applying for financial aid
  • Complete their portion of your ITA and submit to WIB-KC for approval
  • Submit timesheets, grades, and monthly status reports to WIB-KC
  • Maintain contact with you upon completion of training to assist with job placement and retention
  • Provide a copy of your degree/certificate to WIB-KC upon completion
  • Entering and maintaining accurate program information in the MACC

WIB-KC Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the Training Provider is in good standing with WorkForce WV and that they provide quality training to meet industry needs
  • Approval/Denial of your ITA
  • Pay approved invoices for your training
  • Answer questions regarding training and the ITA process
  • Communicate with your Training Provider and Case Manager regarding your training progress, job placement and retention
